Swim season is winding up around here. Approximately 2 meets, 5 practices, 1 skating pep rally, Recognition night, and an invitational brunch to go! But who's counting! Once again, one of the only times it will be acceptable for my children to sport tattoos...

Last week was "Art Week" on our fun summer schedule so I braved Hobby Lobby with all 5 and let the girls pick out an art project to work on. JJ went with little purses to decorate, Mya with letters to mod-podge, and Elle with two canvases to paint.
The girls have been having "sleepovers" quite a bit this summer! And now for the 5 year old birthday! Traditional balloons in the room...

On her birthday night, we had a little Red Robin dinner party. Elle and Mya were good to organize some "party games" while we waited for Jake to get home.

I was lucky enough to get to share my big #31 with Father's Day this year. We started the festivities by getting a babysitter and going out on Saturday night. The baby is definitely becoming more and more of a third wheel on these dates. He spent most of dinner being noisy and dropping everything we gave him on the ground. Good times. We then went home, put him to bed, and headed back out for a movie. The next day we opened Father's Day gifts in the morning.
The first week of summer, our theme was "Organization Week/ Secret Project". This "secret project" was a book for Daddy for Father's Day. I got the girls started and helped a bit, but this became their project and gift. They did an awesome job, and I am so glad they could make so much of it themselves.
Finally his own goggles! No more wearing pink goggles to swim! After church we opened my gifts and had Tres Leches. Good, fun day for both of us!

Jake was in New Orleans for a night so we had to have fun while Daddy was away with popcorn, candy, and a movie!

And my cute baby is growing up before my eyes! How is he old enough to sit in a restaurant high chair and ride in a shopping cart??? Such a cute kid! He has discovered that he has a voice and is not afraid to express his opinion. He is no longer a fan of being left alone and will let you know it! I love separation anxiety!

Below is Jada's portrayal of Elle holding Eli, shortly after Elle had dropped Eli on the floor. Very realistic if you ask me! And not to be outdone, Mya let him flop off the couch onto the floor the other day. And Elle tripped and fell over a big box while holding him on Jada's birthday. Seriously, if he makes it to his first birthday uninjured it will be a miracle!
