We got home Sunday night, and I had eight days to squeeze in everything we needed to do at home for the rest of the month including gymnastics, make-up gymnastics, visit teaching, getting ready for an RS activity, Father's Day, two birthdays, Temple Rec. interview, dinner for some families, a visit to see a new baby in the hospital, finishing up swim team, a b-day party for Elle's friend, unpack, repack, laundry, cleaning, a pool b-day party, etc. To say it was tiring is an understatement. I was so exhausted every night and am so glad to be here now and am excited for the next two weeks of California fun!
It was the last week of the normal swim season and the girls had a skating pep rally. Stacy and I decided to divide and conquer, so she took the older kids to the roller rink, and I kept those ages three and under at home. I'm so glad they had the chance to go, and the girls had a great time on their first skating adventure.

Now onto the birthdays!
We had to have our traditional balloon surprise!
You like that ghetto wrap job with the trash bag? How else do you wrap a hula hoop? And below was the birthday schedule made by Elle.

My friend Kathy is the nicest ever and made this Minnie cake like the day before she was going in to have her baby. Jada loved it and snitched some frosting, as can be seen by the black teeth above. And a picture from the dollar store because I only take my children to the best places for their birthday. The older girls were nice and each bought Jada a present.
Red Robin for lunch (yes I took all four kids by myself- I really am crazy) and a little painting of projects from the dollar store. Elle's piggy unfortunately met an early demise upon contact with the tile floor after just a short stay at our house.
As a surprise, we took Jada to Build-A-Bear to make a fun present named Lily.

I love my little three year old. She is such a special girl and brings so much joy to our family. After all the health drama of last summer, we are just so happy to have a healthy spunky little three year old.
I spent my birthday shuttling my kids to and fro to swim and gymnastics, running errands, and guilt tripping my children into cleaning up all the junk they got out and making me cards. I really did lay on the guilt and got a clean house and some cards in return. Definitely worth it on my birthday.
That boy gave me a good nap as a present!
I bought myself some cinnamon bears and Jake got me a pedicure gift card to my favorite place. We ended the day with dinner at BJ's and a Baskin Robins ice cream cake (my favorite!)

My friend Laney and I have birthdays two days apart and celebrated with a fun lunch with friends at the pool.
On Saturday we wrapped up the swim season with a super hot and sweaty meet at an indoor pool with all the teams in the division. The girls started off a little slower than usual (I think missing a week due to Florida threw them off) but both ended with the backstroke and each improved their times by about six seconds. It was a good way to end the season. The girls had the best time and want to do it again next year.

I think the babies and parents deserve a trophy for making it through the season! And the Dolphins took first place at divisionals- go Dolphins!

Mya's big dolphin! And some swim team pictures and ribbons from their best meet right before we went to Florida.
Father's Day was squeezed in here where we got to celebrate the greatest guy! Cole celebrated by being super cranky that day.

I got Jake a new alarm clock because ours has been broken for a long time. And steak for dinner- anything you can dip in ketchup is all right by Jada.
I love my husband so I made him pudding for dessert. And the girls wanted our junky old alarm clock and were so excited about it all day long. They even slept with it in bed that night. It's the little things in life- funny what makes them so happy.
